Argelès-sur-Mer is a vibrant, busy fishing village nestled at the foothills of the Pyrenees. With 7 kilometres of sandy beaches, awarded the blue flag for cleanliness each year and lifeguards from June to September, Argelès is the perfect place to spend a day on the beach.

The sandy beach, clear blue waters and mountain backdrop makes a stroll along the tree fringed promenade a must. To the south, towards Collioure, lies the charming harbour and village. Typically Catalan, the blue and green decor provides a beautiful background for the numerous water sports, beach activities and the seventeen beach clubs.

There is something for everybody in this thriving seaside resort. Of the beach activities there are children's clubs, sailing schools, windsurfing, bobskiing, diving, boat hire, water skiing, pedalos and more. The children's clubs have a variety of activities for youngsters including ski bobs, catamarans, kayaks and swimming pools and lessons.

Argelès-sur-Mer not only offers a host of water sports but many more leisure activities including billiards, bowling, a mini car circuit and acrobatic forest adventure. Argelès port is particularly beautiful at night and the perfect place to eat 'al fresco'. On the promenade there are evening discos and ballroom dancing, various exhibitions and a small fun fair. There is also an evening market.

This active and stunning seaside resort offers something for everybody. It is a children's haven and adults can choose between taking it easy on the stunning beaches or joining in with the many activities and enjoying the vibrant night life.
